Rebecca Garcia
Instructor
Rebecca is originally from the Midwest. She was raised just outside the “Windy City” of Chicago! Rebecca spent 13 years as a ballerina with Indiana Ballet Theatre, where she studied under distinguished instructors and choreographers, including dancers from Hubbard Street Dance and the Joffrey Ballet.
Eventually, Rebecca moved to Virginia Beach to attend Regent University School of Law, where she continued to dance in her free time. After working as a judicial law clerk in state and federal court, Rebecca decided to permanently escape the cold, so she moved to Richmond in the fall of 2021. Rebecca currently works as an attorney in the public sector.
Rebecca’s passion for dance led her to barre fitness, where she discovered a high intensity, low impact workout that allowed her to enjoy musicality and fitness concurrently, in a social community environment. Her favorite barre exercises are standing forearm pretzel, and standing full fold. Her favorite part of teaching is creating a positive environment where clients feel encouraged, challenged, and uplifted.
When Rebecca is not in the studio you can find her trying the newest restaurant, shopping at the Bryan Park Farmers Market, and walking her little dachshund, Benny.
